Climate Clown Media Circus
Blub blub blub
The complacency of major news outlets in print and television in repeating disproven lies about climate scientists and the science is unprecedented. It goes to show that when conservative activists lose a battle, they gather and storm the gates with lies and misinformation covered non stop by the easily duped press. As the cartoon above shows, that does nothing to change the facts.
UCS Factcheck:
The overwhelming consensus of more than 1,250 authors and 2,000 scientific expert reviewers from the Nobel Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, as well as 18 American scientific associations, is that global warming is observably happening and a growing threat to our world.
key Indicators
Of course if you happen to think that Limbaugh, Beck and Palin know more than NASA and NOAA, then you have more serious cognitive issues to contend with.
Update: This is a nice takedown of the misuse by sceptics on the answers of Dr. Phil Jones.
Kudos to Andy Revkin for providing the link on Dot Earth.

Woody has left a new comment on your post "Climate Clown Media Circus":
Give it up. Your side's intentional misrepresentations have been exposed. Now, fewer and fewer people will believe in global warming and all the government funding and high tax proposals will slowly go away.
No Woody, on the contrary, we intend to herd sceptics into internment camps for reprogramming. Perhaps a new use for Guantanamo? The reality deficit by your side is a gaping chasm of denial. The stupidity is a matter of national security. We simply can't afford a citizenry this blinkered by wing-nuttiness.
You know there are no high tax proposals, only scares by folks like you right? Your concern for Exxon is touching though.
No "carbon taxes" to be passed through to consumers? No tax money going from the U.S. to less developed countries? No hidden taxes in the form of mandates for everything from car pollution to light bulbs?
This global warming fraud is one giant government grab of money and redistribution. And, how can anything so hyped by the U.N. be good?
More on "errors" by the IPCC:
Climate scientists withdraw journal claims of rising sea levels
The real scare is that the global warming hoax almost worked.
Now what needs to happen is for alleged climate scientists to go back to independent peer review and conduct studies that can be verified by non-partisan scientists.
Leave the Dark Side, Mark. Join the side of truth of reason.
Woody you and your ilk are divorced from reason. You can be afraid of taxes, but I don't see any complaints about Exxon when they hike the price of gas so what would be different about that concept? Nothing except carbon would be removed from the atmosphere and alternatives incentivized. A new growth industry paradigm. Hey sounds like free market approach eh? You can't be against that.
There's no need to deny and slander science over tax phobia. The physical world is what the physics says it is. Sea level is still rising despite a paper being withdrawn by the AUTHORS for more work.
Mob rule won't change anything. Prepare to lose. You have nothing on your side but quackery by cranks. Yeah we'll run the work past the Heartland Institute is see if it passes their conformation bias. LOL.
"Global sea level rose about 17 centimeters (6.7 inches) in the last century. The rate in the last decade, however, is nearly double that of the last century.3"
