The March of the Loons

As I wrote at the Washington Post-- The ratio of denier loons to those trying to inform them [on the comment thread] seems to be growing. That's a good sign. So is the Copenhagen Accord. The other treaties didn't work because we didn't join in, nor did China. Imagine if we compete to see who will contribute the least CO2 and to lose is to lose face? This is the future. It will happen so we can all have one.

The other treaties didn't work because most of those that did sign on didn't even try to meet their goals.

Copenhagen won't work because there is nothing to measure against except a very vague: "Hey guys, lets cut down some CO2. Do you really think Mark that the Chinese will even pay lip service to Copenhagen?

We never signed on. Sure they tried and beat the piss out of us. We were the ones who didn't try to even have goals because of your people, Roper.

They are no longer a factor, or should I say, hindrance.

Yes, the Chinese they already have, and not only that are whipping us in alternative technologies. What do you expect they'll do with those? Allow me: use them to cut CO2 and other emissions.
