I always knew Miranda was a creative soul. But there's truly something creepy going on with PA. Have you heard of their new contract where they threaten authors (and their families) they release from a contract with a 5000 dollar fine if they say anything negative about the company? Even for maintaining a writing forum that allows negative opinion of the company.
I used to fight for PA back in the old days, but that sort of behavior is just inexcusable.
The Late Mitchell Warren (who hasn't signed a contract and thus can badmouth anyone he wants)
It's creepy over there Mitchell. The idea of a real publishing contract just isn't in the PA picture. They're crooks as I've said all along. I signed no such non-disparagement clause and told them point blank I wouldn't. They returned the rights to my experiment with their little operation.
The wisdom and punditry of Mark A. York: Fishery biologist, journalist, Historian, Eagle Scout, and novelist. I was a staff writer for The Livingston Enterprise in Livingston, Montana. I wrote special projects for the Idaho Mountain Express
in 2011. I'm the author of Patriot on the Kennebec and the global warming eco-thrillers, Warm Front and Heat Wave.
Thank you to Mark A. York, a descendant of Reuben Colburn, for information about the crucial role his ancestor played in Arnold's march to Quebec. The Colburn House in Pittston, Maine is on the National Register thanks to his efforts and is open to the public.
