Some readers are speculating what this phrase means on Lew Perdue's blog and in New York after Seth Mnookin's great piece in Vanity Fair on the case. Reporting on the story of the story of the case is slipshod. Lewis Perdue was sued by Random House after contacting them about the similarities between DVC and his two novels. The impression is he sued them first. He didn't.
