Conservative Kin Theory

This is a good piece on how archaic America is compared to Europe who is farther along in the social evolutionary process than we are. As a biologist this is straight kin theory which is this: the closer the gene pool the more you care. European nation states are homogenous ethnically hence socialistic programs like welfare makes sense. It's in the family. Over here we have disparate groups jokeying for resources and space. Sharing the wealth with foreigners goes against human nature. This makes perfect sense from my training in the field. The key is how altruistic can we be despite this set point? That's the real moral question.
