Wingnut Science

The one so-called expert conservatives who are on the industrial take on the global warming issue go to is Steven Milloy a Cato member and FOX NEWS columnist. Through misinformation, out of context quoting, ad populum appeal, ignorance of the masses when it comes to science, and finally ad hominem attack, Milloy seeks to discredit climate scientists like Dr. James Hansen . While citing political bias on the other side, Milloy and the conservatives have nothing but politics on theirs.

The Washington Post has to give deference to the so-called skeptical minority of scientists who get their politics ahead of their facts. The key word is minority. There's a reason why they are: their reasoning is mushy. "It's complicated," they say. Not really.

It is somewhat encouraging to see that Milloy is reduced to hyping tired old studd like the OISM petition project.

Now-a-days, my first question to the skeptics is "wanna bet its not going to get warmer". As William and James have shown this never seems to get answered.

Yeah running from reality is a common theme for this bunch.

My answer to Woody, Roper et al is this:

We get the joke just fine. You do it because of your gross ignorance. Mocking what you don't understand is a tried and true naysayer propaganda technique.

Your support of democracy is the real scream. Now that's hilarious!

I'll stack my credentials and those of my sources against yours any day. I have and you've run from them like roaches in the moonlight.

Global warming is not difficult to understand. As CO2 increases so do global temperatures (by 10 year moving averages).

Milloy is not dumb, he's a liar.

I don't know. His trail is easy to follow and so is his biased methodology.
